The journey of The Good Doggie began in 2016 when our founder, inspired by his pet Sherry (a Chocolate Lab), embarked on the quest for professional pet care. Frustrated by the lack of suitable trainers, he turned to India’s best canine trainer, Shirin Merchant, and completed his canine training course in 2017.
With a passion for pets and a vision for premium care, The Good Doggie was born. Since opening our salon in 2018, we’ve grown from a one-person operation to a team of four certified professionals, providing a trusted, loving environment for pets in Mumbai. We believe every dog is a good dog and strive to deliver the best grooming care.

The real magic happened when the founder joined The Pet Pamperer. Under the mentorship of Shams and Jyoti Lakhani, The Good Doggie truly took shape. Their teachings, combined with hands-on training, shaped our approach, where every dog is treated with love, care, and respect. Today was my Beagle Coco’s visit to The Good Doggie. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but they did an amazing job. He had the wash & fluff service. He smells good enough to eat, and his coat is so soft and fluffy. They sorted out his nails and pads – it’s literally like he’s a puppy again 🙂 The best thing of all is that he enjoyed – he loved all the attention he got. Only issue now is I don’t wanna let him near any muddy puddles! Thanks guys – we look forward to seeing you next month!
